So what makes it better than Cosmos? They are somehow further

@leveragegrinding Like Polkadot or Ethereum 2.0 etc., Cosmos is an ecosystem that many refer to as the blockchain of blockchains. SideChains gather around a central intermediary blockchain. This is called the Hub in Cosmos, RelayChain in Polkadot, BeaconChain in Ethereum 2.0. This central authority ensures interoperability between the SideChains (Parachains, Zones).

Pantos, on the other hand, is called the Layer 0 protocol because it is intended to enable applications on the above-mentioned Layer 1 and 2 ecosystems to utilize their special features and benefits across their boundaries. These cannot communicate with other ecosystems today, there is no way to do this in a trustless, decentralized manner via an open network. Existing solutions have to be trusted by third parties, some of which are proprietary, not open source and have to be licensed.

Pantos solves the interoperability problem via an open network, will probably offer various interoperability mechanisms and will remain trustless, which is why it is rightly called a Next Generation Interoperability Protocol.

@thehousemister hmmm so you mean a connection between competing sidechains?

@leveragegrinding Exactly, and that is a novelty.
