Nutanix as such has been fighting with VMware since the beginning over what nobody really talks about (because it's unsexy), but the world of information technology is based on VMware's virtualization technologies and Nutanix is a spinoff of (so the legend goes) frustrated ex-employees of VMware.

Now that Broadcom has bought VMware and the first details are emerging about what Hock Tan sees as "profitable" and what not, and which business areas he intends to divest, a stronger Nutanix would not be unlikely, especially on the German market, because: In my opinion, the focus on VMware Cloud Foundation will cause many customers to distance themselves from VMware and look for alternatives. HyperV? Maybe...Nutanix benefits from the fact that AHV is very similar to ESXi. But in the end: Don't necessarily expect an exploding return, unless Nutanix makes itself known outside of professionals like me who work with the stuff. Because: Where is the demand supposed to come from if nobody - as with VMware - knows what the company actually produces and sells?

@StrahlemannLP well, we have just switched from VMware to nutanix in Germany. Europe is just starting and worldwide is planned. And I think a lot of people know what the two companies sell. This year over 60 % plus I also think is a good return ;-) okay that's about where broadcom is and many other technology companies as well. I think that one or the other VMware customer will switch because broadcom will turn the price screw a lot. I'm not sure if it's really enough to grow significantly, but I think the most interesting thing is. Professionals like you😅 what makes you a professional? i have a vacancy, maybe you would fit into my department.

@TimundStruppi The companies, yes. Ask someone on the street what Nutanix or VMware is, very few people will know. Almost everyone knows what Google, Microsoft, Apple and Intel do, so "wanting to have" in terms of shares is a completely different ball game. As for the rest: write me a PN when this is available...the tool is still new to me :-D
