"Every Thursday, for 24 hours, I have a day of fasting and prayer. This week, I invite you to join me in prayer and fasting for the 100,000 Intel employees who are going through a difficult time," Gelsinger wrote on the social network X on December 8."

Without P.G., Intel will recover in the long run.

The former Intel CEO Pat Gelsingerwho resigned in early December, has asked people to fast for a 24-hour period and pray for the company's 100,000 employees. According to him, they are going through a "difficult time". The company has laid off 15% of its employees and cut other expenses this year, and its shares have fallen more than 50% and dropped out of the "blue chip" index.

Gelsinger is known as a "deeply religious man" who often relied on his faith to make business decisions and posted a Bible verse on social media every Sunday, the Wall Street Journal reported. In an interview with the New York Times in 2022, he said he had thought about becoming a priest but ultimately decided to "work" because there he could "see himself as a CEO working for God, formally working for Intel."
