1. Macron re-elected
Emmanuel Macron has been re-elected as France’s president. Despite the pro-EU centrist’s success, the Euro failed to gain a boost from this news. Despite initially opening higher, the Euro fell 0.34% against the dollar to $1.07725, nearing the two-year low of last week. It did however rise against the pound sterling.

3. Citi ‘hit the brakes’ on Formula One
A Citi $C (+0,55 %) analyst has downgraded Formula One’s $FWONA status of ‘buy’ to ‘neutral’, with an increased price target of $65.00 per share. The analyst sees much of the upside already priced in, but cites a few of the following as reasons for expected growth: “growing popularity of the sport, additional races each year and higher monetization per race”.

4. Twitter poised to accept Musk’s best and final offer
Twitter Inc $TWTR is poised to agree to sell the San-Francisco social media company to Tesla $TSLA (+2,47 %) CEO Elon Musk in a deal valued at around $43 billion in cash. This deal is NOT finalised, but it is believed that Twitter $TWTR could announce the $54.20/share deal after its board has met to recommend the transaction to shareholders.
