The customer base for the military transport jet from Brazil continues to grow: now a state from the Baltic States has also opted for the Embraer C-390.
Hello my dears,
Even if the valuation is not favorable at the moment, I am looking to the future and see a good fall in the P/E ratio due to the growth in profits.
A major order and several smaller orders are contributing to this. The C-399 is slowly developing into the transport and tanker aircraft of the NATO countries. Important innovations are being driven forward at the subsidiary Eve.
That's why I'm not letting any shares out of my hands.
(A consolidation may also be a good buying opportunity for you, this is my personal opinion and not investment advice)
Although no contract has been signed yet, Lithuania has selected the Embraer C-390 as its new military transporter. With this decision, the country aims to further improve interoperability with other NATO partners. "We have carefully evaluated the various military transport aircraft available on the market and our assessment clearly showed that the C-390 Millennium is the most suitable platform to fulfill our national military mission requirements. Therefore, Lithuania has selected Embraer for further negotiations and expects to conclude the purchase contract in the coming months," said Loreta Maskaliovienė, Deputy Minister of National Defense of Lithuania, at the Paris Air Show today.
The purchase of three aircraft is under consideration. According to the Brazilian company, the planned contract should also include opportunities for Lithuanian partners in maintenance and parts production. To date, the Lithuanian Air Force has relied on three C-27J Spartans and the Let L-410 as transporters, which are stationed in Siauliai.
In service with three nations
The C-390 is currently in service with three nations: Brazil since 2019, Portugal since 2023 and Hungary since last year. Other customers include the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, Slovakia, South Korea, the Czech Republic and an undisclosed buyer. According to Embraer, the operational reliability rate is currently 93 percent. The aircraft has a payload of up to 26 tons and can also be used for aerial refuelling.
Also at the Paris Air Show, Portugal, the first export customer for the C-390, announced an order for a further aircraft. More could follow, as the country has options for up to ten transporters.
