@Fcomi I can save €1,300 a month because I earn €1,300 from my apprenticeship and also receive a half-orphan’s pension. That’s why I’m able to put away €1,300 every month.

@Wiktor_06 i am a 47 yo guy from italy, i am an industrial technician and i earn about 2200. i can invest 1000 eur x month cause i have no family. i have also a 367eur mortgage rate for my house and 2 cats. 2200 is a high salary in italy(engineer for example), and save a thousand x month cost me a lot:no travel, no new car, no new dress, no restaurant, no coffee at the bar and so on.... tipically here(north italy) a guy at 19 can earn about 900

@Fcomi I really appreciate that! I’m doing my apprenticeship at a government agency, where I earn €1,300 a month and will also receive a special payment in November — in Germany we call it a “Christmas bonus.” I don’t have any fixed expenses because the agency provides me with an apartment during my training.
Here in Germany it’s also typical for an apprentice to earn around €900 a month, but since I work for a government institution, it’s a bit different.
My goal is to have €50,000 invested by the time I finish my apprenticeship in about two and a half years. After that, I’ll earn around €2,700 net per month, but of course I’ll have expenses for furnishing an apartment, which I’ll buy together with my girlfriend.
I don’t plan to touch the €50,000 — I want to keep investing and hopefully reach €100,000 by the time I’m 27 or 28, if everything goes as planned.
