Very well done, although I think they also the western part is moving to a sort of pay-as-you-play model. But nice selection Indeed!

@GiCi Thanks (it took me a long time to settle on a few titles). You're right—Western gaming companies are far from being out of the race just yet. However, *FC 26*, for instance, has continued to expand this specific model—to the point where almost everything in the game involves a microtransaction—while simultaneously posting increasingly weaker figures overall (the long-term user base has dropped by 17 percent since *FC 23*); meanwhile, its Chinese counterparts remain stable or are even growing. The only Western games that can truly compete in this regard are *CSg2* and Riot Games Lol (though the latter was acquired by a Chinese company tencent back in 2015). Furthermore, one must also view this from a demographic perspective: Asian countries simply have larger populations to which they can market their products, offering better long-term investment opportunities.

@Ochrana Interesting, I agree with the overall picture. But Western publishers are adapting. A Company I follow, for instance, is Paradox Interactive $PDX . They are expanding a lot in Asia and their business is to release DLCs over a base game for a very long period of time. Many IP live for over a decade. What is still missing, on the PC side, is the possibility to play remotely on a powerful device cloud-mode. This would have the obvious consequence of not having toninvest, as a gamer, on powerful hardware, being enough to have a good Internet connection.
