🧭 Performance of the benchmark indices in the specified period
iShares Nasdaq 100 +49.49%
iShares S&P500 +20.84%
HSBC MSCI World +18.34%
For the year as a whole, I am lagging miles behind the major indices Nasdaq and S&P500. No wonder. However, I am pleased that I am almost on a par with Berkshire (+12.07%) and was able to beat the High Dividend Yield (+3.62%). I am ultimately quite satisfied with this result.😀
📈 Top values in the specified period
🥇 Amazon +76.37%
🥈 Sprott Physical Uranium Trust +76.06%
🥉 Microsoft +51.79%
My top stocks this year were actually Bitcoin (+149.16%) and Ethereum (87.21%), but I would rather offer my productive assets this stage. Nuclear power, and therefore uranium, was a big topic in 2023. After all, it is the only reliable source of CO2-neutral energy. Otherwise, tech, Amazon and Microsoft were at the forefront of my portfolio.
📉 Flop stocks in the specified period
Medical Properties Trust -49.25%
BioNTech -33.55%
Bayer -26.30%
MPW with the red lantern. Here I simply missed the jump when the danger was already obvious. Currently with an absolute minus of €795.09 in the portfolio. I need a lot more dividend payments before the loss is recouped. Maybe I'll liquidate the position at the beginning of the year, I'm still undecided. I'll continue to wait and see with BioNTech. Thanks to the low buy-in, I have not suffered any book losses here. Time will tell. The last big patient is Bayer. However, I will also be patient here and simply do nothing.
💸 Dividend distributions (net)
3244.52€ (+90.6% compared to the previous year)
∅ 270.37 per month
I achieved my annual target of € 2,765.88 gross through payments in the amount of € 4,233.38 gross exceeded. I am more than satisfied with this amount. In net terms, I had more than one extra month's salary at my disposal, which I naturally reinvested. So the portfolio is growing without me having to do anything. That's how it works!
Top dividend payers
🥇 Vanguard FTSE All-World
🥈 Realty Income
🥉 SPDR S&P US Dividend Aristocrats ♥️
The stock market year 2023 was a good year for my portfolio. I personally expect an annual return of +7%. This target was exceeded with +10.3%. I was able to invest a total of €29,691.258. I was therefore able to increase my previous year's total once again. However, all the powder in the large reserves has now been exhausted. Now the money can work for itself!
This year, I have already focused on my new job in my family's craft business. This will become even more important this year. So I won't be making many changes to my portfolio. Buy and hold until I'm old. This also explains why I only realized € 615.72 in price gains this year.
These and my earnings were subject to a tax burden of €1,074.60, which hindered my wealth accumulation #steuernsindraub. The fees were very limited at €130.67.
However, I missed the target value of my custody account of €148,070.97. As at 31.12.2023, my custody account was worth €145,961.16. At the end of 2024, it should already be €170,435.94. I'm curious to see if I can achieve this. As mentioned above, I have reached and even far exceeded my dividend target. It can and should continue like this!
I hope you had a great start to the new year! Here's to growing portfolios, compound interest and lavish dividends. 🍾🎩🍀💸📈
See you at getquin!
