Innovation electric car / automobile! 🚀
A little trip down memory lane. It's amazing how the automobile has evolved over time. Today we have quiet, mega-efficient electric cars with incredible engine performance.
Comparison VW Golf 1.4 Petrol vs. Tesla Model Y Long Range 👇
VW Golf 3 1.4 gasoline 🇩🇪
- 55 HP
- Real consumption: approx. 9,5 l/100 km
- Unladen weight: 985 kg
Tesla Model Y Long Range 🇩🇪
- 514 hp (maximum)
- My real consumption: 16,8 kWh/100 km
- Empty weight: 2,056 kg
Note: More than twice the weight, more than nine times the performance in horsepower, and still worlds more economical than the lightweight little Golf.
If we assume a calorific value of approx. 8.5 kWh per liter of gasoline, we can easily imagine the efficiency of the electric car. That only gives a rough idea.
An electric motor converts around 80 % of the energy supplied to it into motion and, conversely, releases only 20 % of the energy to the environment. With losses, an electric vehicle has an
efficiency of 64 % and is therefore much more efficient than a car with a conventional combustion engine. By comparison, the efficiency of a diesel engine is around 45% efficient, while a gasoline engine is only 20% efficient.

But this only gives a small overview of the unbeatable efficiency of an electric car.
Now, of course, we don't just have a much more powerful and efficient car here. No, we are still missing areas like. Space, safety & autonomous driving.
So I'm not talking about a comparison of two car brands and which car is probably better. That would be nonsense. It's about the development of the car itself. I have only selected the two best-known of the two types of downforce.
It just shows again: Individual transport has a future. And that is a good thing! Thanks to innovation and progress, we now drive cars that we could only have dreamed of a few years/decades ago.
I'm incredibly excited about this efficiency and technology. How are you?
How do you see the future and development of the car? 🚗
