I hope to spend Christmas with the whole family safe and sound. The last two years my wife, my children and I have all been ill at Christmas and New Year. It's been really depressing, but cheer up. This year will work out es👍🏻🗡️💥

Christmas is traditionally spent with the family, so hopefully everyone will be well and healthy again by then. Our little one (2 years old) is currently struggling with a rather stubborn bronchitis, but there's still time😊 As always, one of the holidays will be spent with our closest friends, with Havana apple punch and raclette😋 Have a great pre-Christmas season🎄

My favorite way to celebrate Christmas is with my parents and the whole family. This year, unfortunately, I'll have to celebrate alone because my mother has to go to work, my father has died, my stepfather is on a cure, my sister is going on vacation and my girlfriend is doing a semester abroad 🤔 Maybe I'll play Santa somewhere for free or get involved in some other social activity so I'm not alone and can do something good at the same time 👍🎅

Rather, the community has to thank you for still regularly writing your high-quality posts and for being an "old GQ hand" for a long time and hopefully staying with us 😉, thank you for that. How long have you been with us? I'm spontaneously going to visit my sister in the north before Christmas, as I was able to get hold of 2 concert tickets and surprise her with them. Christmas itself will of course be celebrated at home, we'll go from one food coma to the next and play Rommy and Monopoly until we drop. On the 2nd day of Christmas, we'll traditionally spend it with all our good friends, acquaintances and neighbors at the bar 😅 (customs 👉🏻Stephanus stoning). I wish you and your family a wonderful, stress-free Christmas season too 🎄❄️🤗

Wow. So many people have to work, and I'm grateful that you exist. The ones who make sure that the hospital is running, for example, or that someone makes sure we have electricity at Christmas. Today we had no electricity at work for a short time because they were pulling the cables out of the street. That makes you realise how "privileged and rich" we are. A friend comes from Romania and told me recently that it happens several times a week that there is simply no electricity. Sometimes for a few minutes, sometimes for a few hours. Romania is Europe. Europe is not the same as Europe. And Europe is not the world. I would like to be with my family. They're scattered halfway around the world. My mother passed away unexpectedly last year. We, the rest of the extended family, get together on Christmas Day, eat delicious food and Skype with half the world. 😊

We usually spend Christmas Day on the highway, as the parents-in-law live 400 km away 😂. Christmas Eve is quiet and contemplative at home. I know enough about illness from the last few years, it always hits you just when you can't use it.

According to the duty roster, I have to work the early shift on 24.12 and 26.12 - but on 18.12 I have an appointment with the labor court. Let's see what the judge says, because I've already had my hours for this year for two weeks.
