My personal getquin profile!

Who are you?

My name is Dennis, I am 25 years old and I am from the beautiful Swabia. I started an apprenticeship as a banker at the age of 16 and successfully completed it at 19. In this regard, I have always had contact with money. The first time I got into shares was after the Corona Crash and I informed myself intensively. Before that I only had a fund savings plan at my house bank.

I enjoyed the topic very much and now try to inspire people for the stock market via Instagram. This has also become one of my favorite hobbies during Corona. I usually play soccer in my free time and I also coach a youth team.

When did you start investing?

As described above, I had my first fund savings plan with my bank when I was 18. However, I was not interested in it and I dissolved it at some point, because I needed money for my business degree. After the stock market crashed due to Corona I started with stock trading, but at the beginning I only traded and I did not have a long term strategy. Since November I have been trying to build up a portfolio of dividend stocks with an admixture of growth stocks.

What is your investment strategy?

I rely on the dividend strategy, I try to get hold of favorable dividend stocks and hold them as long as possible. For this purpose, I have set up savings plans to steadily increase my shares every month, in addition to the one or other individual purchase. I hope that my dividend yields will increase every year and that I can increase my performance from year to year :)

What is your secret tip or a sector/stock that you currently like?

I don't have an insider tip or a particular sector that I prefer. I diversify my portfolio by sector and country. But if I had to choose, I would name the Apple share. Apple is innovative, future-oriented and has been inspiring people with new products for years. I believe that this stock still has a lot of potential and that Apple will continue to inspire us in the coming years.

What was your biggest investment blunder?

My biggest mistake was buying Wirecard shares. I lost just under €1,000, but gained a lot of experience. In retrospect, it was perhaps not so bad, since then I inform myself intensively and deal with the companies in more detail before buying. Unfortunately, greed won out for me at that time, and I no longer let this emotion get to me when buying shares.
