The first two trades in 2025 :)

I have been implementing my own trades for 1.5 years now, sometimes more actively, sometimes less.

I would like to use this year to share my trades here and review them.

So yesterday evening was the day. $LLY (-1,12 %) and $ALV (-0,68 %) ran into my zone and delivered an entry signal. As a result, the TP was actually reached quickly for both of them during the course of today.

$LLY (-1,12 %) at + ~ 130% (just picked up😂)

$ALV (-0,68 %) at + ~ 117%

Have a nice evening :)

Not bad. What was your leverage and CRV?
@Epi I always have a fixed CRV of 2. Leverage was ~30 for LLY and ~40 for ALV

@Sxnety Does this mean that your SL was > -50% in each case?
@Epi nope, Tradingview just doesn't reflect the direct reality, were my first 2 trades this year after the Christmas break and will have to see how it behaves in the future.
"Stop loss is a total loss. CRV of 2 otherwise means a profit of around 160-170% in reality.
However, it is important to mention that my hit rate for break even/TP is 70%, so that the actual 1.7R in reality (instead of 2R) is not quite as significant.
But I still trust my analysis tool for the exit. How do you do that?

@Sxnety Hmm, I don't think what I do is called trading. I trade simple momentum signals at the turn of the month.

What is your position size or risk per trade?

@Epi currently 1% of my total portfolio. So not too much :)
But I'll go back up to 1.5-2% in the near future!
I also took a look at the momentum strategy, very interesting!

@Sxnety 1% is manageable. So is it more of a hobby or can you make a living from it?

I also tried day trading once, but it was too fiddly and stressful for me. Maybe you could say that I switched to monthly trading? About 1 trade per month.

@Epi It's more of a mixture of day and swing trading.
That's right, I do it as a hobby alongside my normal work. Just as a little extra income :)
I screen twice a week after work and otherwise it's "only" a matter of waiting for alerts and entry signals. On average I make 3-6 trades per month.

Hi there,
Do you trade with K.O. bills or Cfd's ?
@Jul12 currently KOs, for the sake of simplicity. Sooner or later, however, the switch to CFDs will take place. It's simply better
