JD LOGISTICS and CATL carry out test flight for ton class logistics route at low altitude

Jointly developed by companies such as JD Logistik $JDC (+0,58 %) completed the first low-altitude test flight of a 2-ton EVTOL logistics route over the mountainous regions of the Guizhou Plateau on November 20.


Carrying parcels of agricultural products, the eVTOL took off from a low-altitude air service base in Guiyang and landed at an airport in Huangping County in just 40 minutes. JD couriers then delivered the parcels to local consumers.

Compared to traditional transportation via mountain roads, the new route improves delivery performance by more than 80%, overcoming the time constraints of logistics in mountainous regions.
