🚀 Rocket Lab and the US defense pie - what is realistic?

With the signing of his "One Big Beautiful Bill", Donald Trump has launched a USD 150 billion program for new defence spending - including investments in space projects: Early warning systems, satellites, communication networks.

$RKLB (-0,27 %) is already a prime contractor with 18 satellites for the Space Development Agency's (SDA) Tranche 2 Transport Layer Beta program.

Now it's getting exciting:

✅ The design of these satellites was officially accepted a few days ago (Critical Design Review = passed).

Rocket Lab is now starting series production - the aim is for all satellites to be completed and ready for launch by 2026/2027.

✅ Whoever delivers here, as planned and reliably, can hope for follow-up orders - and this is precisely Rocket Lab's chance for another slice of the "defense pie".

➡ The majority of the budget goes to giants such as Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and Northrop. But with this project, Rocket Lab is well positioned to get at least a slice.

What counts now: on-time production + first Neutron launch = opportunity for new satellite and launch orders. 🚀

We'll be topping up again on Monday! 🚀🚀

Incidentally, the new US law ("One Big Beautiful Bill") will allow Rocket Lab to deduct 100% of its research expenditure immediately in future - instead of spreading it over 5 years. This significantly boosts cash flow and could accelerate the development of Neutron & Co.
Important: It's a tax benefit, not a new contract - but every extra dollar in the tank helps with the next big leap. 🚀🔥
