EU USA Customs agreement The 15 percent tariff should also apply to cars.

The 15 percent duty will also apply to cars. This is significantly more than the previous rate of 2.5 percent, but less than the current 27.5 percent. The USA had generally made car imports 25 percentage points more expensive with a special surcharge. The tariff rate is to be reduced retroactively to August 1.

What is somehow little talked about is that there are no deals.
There was NO DOCUMENT signed. There is nothing in writing where details have been recorded. And these "deals" cannot be arbitrated by the WTO if there are problems.

It is not even clear whether the president is allowed to bypass other institutions.

So we have very shaky deals that are not enforceable and can be terminated unilaterally at any time and where it is unclear whether they are even valid in the USA.
