Last dividend paid on a single share

attachment

On October 30, the final dividend for a single stock came in.

Since the final restructuring, things have been surprisingly quiet in my portfolio. Fewer trading fees, less scrolling, less checking for earnings reports or seeing if something has crashed or surged again. After about four years of more or less “excitement,” calm has returned.

It feels strange, but good at the same time. The portfolio now consists only of a few ETFs, 3xGTAA, cash, and crypto—...and the certainty that something will go up or down—but with significantly lower trading costs, the average market return, and without bad decisions that come with opportunity costs (Yes $NKE (+1,78 %) and $MC (+2,06 %) I mean you).

Let's see how long it takes before you slip up again 😇. Until then, have a relaxing time on the stock market

@Dividendenopi Why would I relapse, and what makes you so sure it's going to happen?

@FinanzMechaNikk I didn't say anything about certainty—I have no idea where you're getting that from. But whatever. I’m glad you’ve found your own peaceful path and are able to live well with it. And when I say “relapse,” I’m referring statistically to many others here who had also expressed that here but somehow didn’t manage to stick with it in the long run. The FOMO thing is a real kick. I’m curious to see how it goes.

@Dividendenopi It would actually be even better if you took advantage of opportunities as they arise. In that case, relapse might actually be a blessing.

@Dividendenopi "Let's see how long it takes before you slip up again. Until then, enjoy a relaxed time on the stock market"—that statement is pretty specific, which is why I'm offering my interpretation and asking this question 😉

Sure, the barrier to entry is low since it’s familiar territory. FOMO can also be—and will be—an issue… still, I reflect on the last four years and prefer to trade based on the experience I’ve gained 😉 Anything else would just be “silly.”

Best regards

@PoorDad At most, if there's a significant movement in the index. Otherwise, the savings plan will just keep running as usual in the future 📥🫡
