Would you accept Vonovia's current takeover offer to Deutsche Wohnen?! 🏡🤝

After the last takeover attempt failed in 2016, Vonovia made an offer for Dt. Wohnen of €52 plus the dividend of €1.03 in May. But this time, too, not enough shareholders were convinced and, with an acceptance rate of 47.62%, the minimum acceptance threshold of 50% was just not reached. 😬

Now, however, the takeover attempt is going into the next round. Vonovia improves the offer to € 53, with the dividend already having been paid. However, Vonovia CEO Rolf Buch also makes it clear that this is the last attempt for the time being. 💰

What do you think? Is the €1 price increase enough to tip the acceptance threshold after all and make the takeover happen? 🤓

Since the referendum "expropriate Deutsche Wohnen and co" will probably be successful (which would make me quite happy), we should keep our distance from both.

@Karlu92 Phew, I don't think much of expropriation. It doesn't really solve the problem in the end. If you then demand lower rents, who decides who gets the apartments? 🤔 The demand won't decrease.

@InvestierenmitBen Necessity decides and at the same time a lot is being built. It's no different to other municipal housing companies. Not everyone gets an apartment there either, but the rents are capped and there is no profit motive.

I myself have been invested in Vonovia for a while. I hope that it will work out this time. I think the price for the share is reasonable, as the first offer was already well above the price at that time. I hope the 1€ per share more will convince the missing percentages.

@Nicolas_Invest Yes, I am curious. Otherwise there will certainly be the next attempt in 2-3 years 😃

@Toni_ in the other European capitals, however, it is the case that the cities are the main economic engines of the countries, and that is why the cities are so expensive, and I do not think that this will be the case in DE in the near future

@Toni_ Yes, so my hope would be fewer rising rents and rather more living space 😉👌
