I’ve always said: My child costs me millions. But I also like to say that just to be a little provocative. 😉 Because the real cost is, plain and simple, the loss of income. That’s why I always insist that young investors shouldn’t just take risks simply because they’re young. Once they have families, most of them will either be unable to invest anymore or won’t have time to spend with their kids.

@Wealth-Accelerator Loss of income and housing costs really take a toll. Later on, when the kids’ expensive hobbies come into play (horses, car racing, or college), things will get more affordable again once you can go back to working nearly full-time.
