One of many

Today I would like to share a bad decision. I held the position for 3 years and it only went sideways. At some point I liquidated the position and since then it has risen by 145% within 8 months.

Individual stocks are for diamond hands and not for paper hands ☝️

Perhaps this will give some of you the motivation to keep believing in your investment case in these difficult and turbulent times.

For myself, however, I have realized that I live better with ETFs.

Stay on the ball!

Good decision to focus on an ETF. However, I suspect that Xiaomi still has a lot of upside potential. Patience and long-term thinking is the most important thing. :)

i made a similar mistake because i was too impatient. i still bought the shares again because i think it was far from the end.

Been with Xiaomi for 6 years. Went sideways forever, but I'm glad I didn't sell it :)

It's probably the same for everyone. I bought Palantir at €18 and sold it again at €38 because the valuation was too high in my opinion. You can see where they are now😅

BTW, I wrote to you back then that I wouldn't have sold as long as the share was going up. That may also be a lesson you can learn from this. Very often a trend like this lasts a very long time and there are only occasional setbacks.

I bought at €1.50 and also a part at €3 and have held the position for 2-3 years. I think there are still 2-5 years to go, at least a part. part sales are pending at around €8. you need targets for the stocks you buy.
I was first up over 200% with the share, then even down and now up more than ever before. The stock market is a real pain in the ass🙈
Wasn't that Warren Buffett who once said he always sold too early? 😅

Buying later would have been the better decision. But we all sold at the wrong time. I also sold parts of my Siemens Energy too early. Shit happens ;-)
