Veolia and Steico

Are there shareholders and opinions on $ST5 (-4,75 %) and $VIE (-1,24 %) ? What do you think of the values?

I see advantages in

  • in-demand sectors in the future
  • regional diversification (to US)
  • Value (diversification to tech)
  • average valuation

I have had Veolia on my watch list for some time. I find the division very exciting and relevant for the future. Veolia also has a very good position in this area, but I am put off by the withholding tax, the high payout ratio and the debt. Nevertheless, Veolia in particular is a very interesting company

And what disadvantages do you see?

@Sansebastian Low moat, withholding tax at Veolia, high construction costs at Steico, debt if necessary, regulation (Europe)...

@user88b8e3cfdd1c4e20 According to the chart, the market is pricing in the disadvantages of Steico. Not an investment for me

Neither is an investment case for me. The risk/reward ratio is too poor.

@Multibagger No turnaround at $ST5?

@user88b8e3cfdd1c4e20 Where will it come from and, above all, where will it go? Of course, this share can rise to €25 or, if things go well, €27. But that's 20-30%. How long does it need for that? 6 months? That's not a good C/R ratio for me (I have a different mindset). I only buy shares if I think they will rise by at least 5% per month.
But I'm also not that deep into the subject to be able to judge to what extent they can benefit from the infrastructure package. So this is not a recommendation not to buy this share. This is just my subjective opinion.
