UniCredit - hit record revenues & increases payout to 50%

We do not speak very often about the Italian lender $UCG (-0,02 %)) here, but they published strong results yesterday. Very little details on $CBK (+1,52 %) but more to come at the Q1'25 results as it seems.

  • Strong Q4: UniCredit beat expectations with a €1.97B profit and €6B revenue.
  • No Slowdown: CEO Andrea Orcel aims for faster growth despite competition.
  • Big Goals: Targeting €10B annual profit by 2027, offsetting lower interest income with higher fees.
  • Shareholder Rewards: Payouts rise to 50% of net profit in 2025, with buybacks remaining key. Overall dividend yield stands at 5.8%.

Who has UniCredit in their portfolio, or thinks it is interesting for the future?

I read through the slides yesterday because of the interest in Commerzbank and didn't realize that things were going so well for them. Definitely interesting what they are doing at Unicredit. Apparently there are a few good banks in Europe after all.

@topicswithhead Yes, they have improved really well. I worked on their re-capitalization back in 2016 and it was everything but a good company.
