Today with $BMW (+0,49 %) once again added a new position to the portfolio. I opted for the preference shares because they are cheaper and - well - 2 cents more dividend ...

@Epi The way to the top too. And rocky.

@Charmin But cars tend to roll downwards rather than upwards...

@Epi We will see. You can make a calendar entry for an interim report on October 15, 2029.

@Epi For companies that have attracted attention in recent years due to mismanagement (VW!), yes, but I would see it differently for BMW with its courageous management.

Blood on the streets believe it's time to collect more soon

@INOT Well, the car shares will certainly become even cheaper. But remember that you need money to collect yourself. That comes from your salary, which in turn depends on your job and the economic strength of the country, which depends on... you guessed it.
So be careful what you wish for!

You have time....

I'm also considering getting in there. But it should still go down a bit. 😅

@KonradM Since I've been holding for ten years and plan to buy more regularly, I don't care about the entry point.

The broken record says (once again): "Time in the market" beats "timing the market". Examined and proven umpteen times.

Ahh, walk the talk... Sauba!

Too soon!

@GordonGekko83 I quickly get the broken plate out:

There is no such thing as "too early" in long-term investing, in the sense of stocks that you are convinced will perform well for years.

Countless studies have shown that even those who buy at the ATH do better than those who wait for the dip.

Why? Because it often *doesn't* happen, and then the price is even higher.

There are countless publications on the subject.

@Charmin Is that also true for cyclical stocks? I see it differently! Cyclical stocks go virtually 1:1 with the economy.

@GordonGekko83 You can see it however you want. It doesn't change the research on the subject.

Regarding the "economy": What economy? Germany? THE USA? China? World? BMW sells worldwide. I don't think you can speak of a cyclical value here.
image de profil
@Charmin Good luck! I am convinced that you will be in the profit zone for x years and not just 10%, but with the value now it is not worth the world ;-)

@GordonGekko83 It doesn't have to be the world. I am very patient.
