New ETF in the portfolio

Hi folks,

wanted to know your opinion! I have two ETFs in my portfolio at the moment! $VWCE (+0,14 %) and $VHYL (-0,07 %) both are saved with 1000€ per month each! I was wondering whether I should also add the $ISPA (+0,01 %) into the portfolio! Thought about 50k starting capital and 500€ monthly savings plan! Since the Global Select 100 is a bit more international, it could be a counterweight to the very US-heavy FTSE All world!

I'm curious about your opinion 🙂

Have a nice rest of the weekend everyone

I would rather recommend that you switch $VHYL to $VWCE. $VHYL and $ISPA are simply yield and dividend killers

@DonkeyInvestor I was also concerned with the fact that the FTSE all world has a strong US bias and the ishares Global Stoxx is a little more "international"!

@BavarianLion that is by no means a reason for a high dividend ETF. Go for something with less US exposure without a focus on dividends. Preferably distributing

@DonkeyInvestor You just threw my whole strategy out the window 😅! My plan was actually to deliberately sacrifice a bit of yield to get dividends because my ETF's are supposed to serve as a safe haven! With my individual stocks, I have almost exclusively growth positions (Amazon, NVIDIA, Alphabet...)! I also entered the two Vanguards with high starting capital (both 100k each)! So my plan was like this: Stocks for growth (also a bit riskier) and the ETF's as a rock in the surf!

@DonkeyInvestor But I've been reading through your articles for the last few days anyway! There are really a lot of very good tips 👍

@BavarianLion Don't worry about it. I've also thrown my strategy overboard several times 😬

@DonkeyInvestor I think this year is a good year to do some restructuring anyway, as you can't really plan anything because of Trump 🤪

@BavarianLion How about $TDIV instead of $VHYL? It has performed well in recent years, pays a good dividend and is not as heavily weighted towards the USA as the $VHYL

@Kieler_Jung $GGRP $FGEQ do not forget
Investment horizon is long, so they can also do you good in terms of distribution

I am not at all convinced by $ISPA. If it really has to be "something with dividends", then rather $TDIV, $FGEQ or $GGRP.

However, I would rather recommend that you find out about factors or smart beta. In terms of ETFs, I find $XDEM and $IQSA particularly interesting.

@Stullen-Portfolio I found the $ISPA interesting for me because it is very "international"! My portfolio is already heavily US-heavy anyway and the ishares would be a nice counterbalance! Before anyone asks, no I'm not suddenly panicking about Trump or the tariffs (I think 20+ years), but I really want to be a bit more international 👍

Would find a combination of $TDIV and $DEMD more interesting than $ISPA

@DoppelSchlechtMinus I'll have a look at both, thanks for the tips!

@DoppelSchlechtMinus or $WINC if you are interested in distributions.

@PaFl My suggestion referred specifically to Basti's regional target. Yours would rather add the USA. So you can combine it with my two again 😉

@PaFl My strategy is actually such that my individual stock positions are primarily geared towards growth (Amazon, NVIDIA, Alphabet,...) while my ETFs form the "safe haven", so to speak! So regular dividends and a manageable return with little risk! I am completely satisfied with the ETF's with 5-7% return p.a. 😀

$EXUS if you want to reduce the US portion. The dividend ETFs will cut your returns (except for $TDIV perhaps, but it has a high financial component).

Hy
If I have e.g. 8000€ to invest, is it better to put it all into an ETF at once, or something e.g. 1000€ every month.
And I would have imagined 100€

monthly per savings plan

@growth_ninja_1675 Are you already invested on a large scale? Then go all in. If not, do it in tranches. Your heart will thank you 😉
@Bezehgombjuderstimme No, I am not yet.
Which Etf could you recommend?

@growth_ninja_1675 If you don't have anything yet, then get all the information you need first. There are lots of good articles here and you can use the search function. Youtube is also very good. I would only invest when you feel that you understand a lot. Personally, I would buy a world ETF at the very beginning. But you have to look at your situation to find the right one. But don't make it too complicated for yourself, otherwise you'll never get started.

Thanks for the tips guys! 👍 I'll have a look at all the ETFs and then decide! The $TDIV seems to be quite popular here, but has a strong focus on finance! I'll have to take my time and think about everything 🙂
