Many overvalued shares in the portfolio 🤭

Hello everyone,

I have looked at the stocks in my portfolio with my new but still incomplete knowledge of fundamental analysis and am of the opinion that some stocks are heavily overvalued.

Perhaps they will fall back to their fundamental value soon or at some point?

Yes, actually this is bound to happen in the long term.

So I'm wondering whether I should sell now and invest the capital in fundamentally favorable stocks or in my ETFs?

I also find it interesting that some stocks were already overvalued when I bought them and some only became overvalued later.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my opinion, some of the stocks in my portfolio are overvalued:

(not exhaustive)

Palantir $PLTR (-1,21 %)

Ferrari $RACE (+0,45 %)

Rheinmetall $RHM (-2,82 %)

Agree Realty $ADC (-0,31 %)

visas $V (-0,12 %)

Hermes $RMS (+0,41 %)

Microsoft $MSFT (-0,4 %)

Nu 😅 $NU (+0,35 %)

Asml $ASML (-0,22 %)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the other hand, I think they are favorably valued at the moment:

(some are not really cheap, but maybe worth buying)

Amazon $AMZN (-0,71 %)

Abc $GOOGL (-0,3 %)

Sofi $SOFI (-0,64 %)

Lockheed Martin $LMT (+0,8 %)

Berkshire $BRK.B (-0,16 %)

Caterpillar $CAT (-0,41 %)

Occidental Petroleum $OXY (-0,33 %)

Rio Tinto $RIO (-0,67 %)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think I probably wouldn't regret it if I just sold everything and put it in the $HMWO (-0,45 %) and put it in the But I enjoy individual shares and the risk is limited. Still, I would like to know how you read valuations and translate them into action decisions and what you think about my specific situation and would possibly act.

I find it interesting that you consider stocks like $MSFT $NU or $ASML to be overvalued, but you are also in the red there. So why did you buy them? It should also be clear that stocks like $PLTR or $RHM are overvalued, even with a lot of imagination and goodwill. If you are no longer convinced then work with sl or take out your bets and let the profits run 🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️

@Hotte1909 A combination of ignorance, impatience and the bull market got me into this situation. 😀

Sell your shares and buy MSCIWorld?
You're jumping from the frying pan into the fire in terms of valuation. 😅

You might take another look at one or two shares from a different perspective. Fundamentals are a good first step, so that you at least know what you are investing in and how the company is doing. Especially in the current phase, and what will/can still come, you can take a closer look at the charts. I like to look at support areas, RSI and trading volumes as well as MACD for an initial rough assessment

I don't think Microsoft is overvalued and continue to buy. Why do you think the share is overvalued?
I agree on most, though MSFT trades at fair value and ASML is undervalued in my opinion, lot of growth ahead and a PEG-ratio of only 1.56
Regarding $PLTR, is it just me or does anyone else think a PE ratio of 439 is crazy? I'm just trying to understand from the fundamentals perspective how come such a high multiple. Is it just momentum, sales, the narrative? they've been increasing shares https://stockanalysis.com/stocks/pltr/financials/ and just became profitable in 2023. EPS are less than 10 cents per share. To me it's just incomprehensible.
EDIT
I found this answer https://www.reddit.com/r/investing/comments/1ih095a/comment/mayb195/ which provides lots of insight. It's basically hype because they have the DoD as a client.
