This means that Qualcomm will play a major role in the growth market of autonomous driving and connected mobility.

Qualcomm (ISIN: US7475251036) has announced the acquisition of the Israeli company Autotalks. Autotalks specializes in vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication and develops chips that enable communication between vehicles and their surroundings. This technology is crucial for the safety and efficiency of vehicles, especially with regard to autonomous driving and connected mobility. The acquisition is estimated to be worth around USD 350-400 million. Qualcomm plans to integrate Autotalks' V2X solutions into its Snapdragon Digital Chassis, a platform that provides car manufacturers with cloud-based solutions for infotainment, driver assistance systems and vehicle connectivity. This strategic decision underscores Qualcomm's commitment to the automotive sector. With the integration of Autotalks' technologies, Qualcomm can strengthen its position in the field of vehicle communication and benefit from the increasing demand for connected car solutions. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals.

From a technical chart perspective, Qualcomm is part of a completely intact upward trend. However, the share has entered a correction in the form of a downward trend in the short to medium term. Qualcomm is currently on the verge of breaking out of this correction. This would trigger an overarching (upward) trend continuation signal. If the share rises above USD 157, the next price targets are USD 195, followed by USD 230 and USD 300. If, on the other hand, Qualcomm falls below USD 135, the next correction targets are USD 122 and USD 100. The slow stochastic signals a massive oversold condition and supports the turnaround scenario in the big picture. The MACD histogram as a trend-following indicator is also on the verge of stabilization.

Preferred scenario: long entry above USD 157. Hedge below USD 135.

The second takeover in a short time? Qualcomm makes a big splash and investors cheer 🙌🏼

I have been invested with 11K since January and have bled badly. Currently I am still at -16% after the rally today. So far I have been reluctant to sell with such high losses but my portfolio is also totally dependent on the position because 35% is Qualcomm. What would you advise me to do now?

@HappyJulienDay
Stick with it and rejoice in 5-10 years.

Ok, I could generally do it this way and I don't necessarily have to rely on the money, but don't you think I could get more return if I reallocate? 5-10 years without a return is a lot with a 30% portfolio value. We are currently talking about a loss of €1700. Sit it out and hope or partial sale?

@HappyJulienDay
I remain positive about Qualcomm

Thank you for your opinion. I wouldn't do anything that quickly now. Nevertheless, I regret the way things went back then. I bought more after every drop and it kept going down. That was before the correction in April. And then came the quarterly report. All the figures were great but the outlook was only so-so and then I was stuck with -30% and have held out until now. I think Qualcomm has been in the portfolio since February.

But your contribution is encouraging and gives me hope. I also believe in Qualcomm. The figures are strong but I personally don't see another 16% plus this year and that makes me doubt.

@HappyJulienDay
Oh nonsense, it can go up again just as quickly. Don't worry about it

@HappyJulienDay Why do you assume that you won't make a profit with Qualcomm in the next 5-10 years?
image de profil
In a previous post, I said stay tuned and cheer in 5-10 years. I assume this because I am still -16% after the rally today and will not buy more with the high share in the portfolio. So my return would only start if Qualcomm rises another 17% after today, but I still see a maximum of 6% potential in the short term.

@HappyJulienDay Regardless of whether Qualcomm is doing well or not, I hope you realize that you made a huge mistake by investing 30% in one stock. Qualcomm will go its own way, but I think that was a lesson for you. You really only do that if you know that you can still sleep peacefully

I can sleep peacefully but it was still a mistake. I've only been investing in shares in general since November and have been reading up on strategies, etc. every day since then.
Trump showed me that you can't just do everything and always win.
But also that you have to be careful and need a well thought-out portfolio.
