Has anything changed in the reasons for your investment in Google? If not, I don't understand the question.

$GOOGL has not run hot. It was grossly undervalued in a long-term comparison before the last rise. Not every stock that rises 40% has run hot. There are also stocks that grow into the fundamental figures and expectations, which is usually the case with small caps. But it can also happen to a MAG 7 company.

Am now 99.42% up and see no reason. Savings plan continues...

My average price is in double figures and I will not sell a single share. $GOOGL is one of the companies that (will) massively shape our present and foreseeable future.

if a stock is running hot at 40 percent up and you want to sell...is your goal never to reach a tenbagger?

I bought Alphabet myself this year and am up 60%. But don't think about selling. If you are not sure, why not set an SL to hedge your profits?

Why should it have run "hot"?

Top company, well positioned in every division, no high valuation. No reason to sell.

I am up a good 100%. I'm not buying at current prices, but I'm definitely not going to sell any shares. I have other candidates in my portfolio 😅

Utilize the tax allowance ;)
What do you mean? Can rise or fall

In my opinion, taking a few profits after the run is not a bad idea in the current environment. You don't have to sell the entire position. Just scale a little 👍
will never be sold...

Hypothetical question for you: If Alphabet should correct again at some point and temporarily give up 40%, can you agree to stand at +/- 0 again or not? Personally, I can and just keep buying, as I am convinced of the company for the future, if it bothers you that all profits are gone again and you then throw in the towel, now would not be a bad time to sell. But still, this is not investment advice, just a hypothetical thought exercise.

No, that is not the way.
