What do you guys actually think of BIT Capital and Beckers?

I’ve been following Becker’s Bets for quite some time now, and I’m constantly amazed by their performance. After all, the general rule is: ETFs beat active funds.

But these numbers are absolutely wild. On average, the flagship fund is up >30% per year.

I’d be interested to know: Are you invested, or are you considering getting in?

I’m not sure how something like this would fit into my core portfolio…

Well, I’m generally interested and have had this on my watchlist for quite a while. I have a second account with Scalable where I’m using a slightly more aggressive strategy with a smaller amount of money. Last month, I switched my investment plan to this fund and am letting it run for about half a year. It’s supposed to make up about 20% of my portfolio in the end, and then we’ll see. I think it’s risky, but it’s worth a try. I wouldn’t really plan my retirement savings around it, though 😅

@Keineui That's one argument, but the fund is significantly outperforming the benchmark, which is why this hasn't been a factor at all—at least not since the fund's inception.

If Getquin is even remotely correct in estimating that nearly 60% of the fund is in technology, it’s no surprise that it’s generating good returns.

Compared to a global ETF, however, it has some drawbacks. Most notably, diversification.
We know that industries have their ups and downs, and no single industry outperforms the market over several decades.
If you pick the right ones, you can be very successful with something like this. Or not, if the entire industry crashes.

I find the fund—and especially Jan Beckers' expertise—very interesting. However, the most recent returns are largely attributable to $MU Micron. I'm curious to see how he'll fare if AI doesn't perform as well anymore...

@SathosiRuffy He's had a lot of success before with titles like HelloFresh. It's still exciting to see what happens next. I think he's flying way too much under the radar for a performance like this.
