@tom_finance Honestly, I think it’s a mixture. My core picks are almost no-brainers for me and whether other people think the same or not isn’t really an issue. They’re indestructible giants at more than reasonable valuations I’d have no problem holding for years to come. They also broadly align with the portfolios of many super investors like Ackman, Druckenmiller, Kentasaria, Hohn etc they all like Amazon, Microsoft, Visa or Meta as well.
And for my satellite picks like a Zeta, or a few of the fintech names I definitely take inspiration from content creators, but that doesn’t mean I don’t do my own research. There’s countless names that you see over and over again on X that I’d never buy. But still, I think there’s a lot of information and perspectives to be gained from these less traditional finance bubbles, aside from super investors or professional analysts.
