Why do we talk so little about Qualcomm?

I made a purchase on Wednesday. I've actually wanted to do this for a long time, but somehow I got a bit off track.

In my view, this is one of the cheapest companies in the semiconductor sector, and its low price is not justified. In my opinion, there is good money to be made with $QCOM (-1,78 %) both in the short to medium term and in the long term (the need for chips and very solid dividends)

@WarrenamBuffet competition is tough, hence the sell-off. I want to get in at 120, but I'm still very unsure, as they will lose a lot of sales in the next few years and can only recover them if the new diversification works out.
I've already given a lot of thought to $QCOM. The risk, as @Tenbagger2024 has already written, has always put me off and made me uncertain.
Of course, I find the company very exciting. But I'm still undecided so far

Competition is squeezing Qualcom, growth is quite weak for this sector. I had Qualcom in my portfolio for quite a long time - without much success. Could develop into a lame duck. My opinion - don't get angry right away. Regards

@Matzke
Could also become similar to Cisco. Apple and Samsung still have to fall back on it, but at some point they will get it right themselves.

On the other hand, they have moved into new
business areas.
Qualcomm will play a role in autonomous driving.
And reality glasses are almost impossible without Qualcomm.

@Tenbagger2024 do you think microsoft will produce chips itself?

@user03
Good question, I don't think so. But there's no way of knowing. Or have you heard of such plans?

You simply invest 1.5 % of your portfolio. That's manageable. If I were to invest 1.5% of my portfolio in $QCOM, that would be around 1.5 shares. So I would have to increase my investment or use derivatives. There are much more lucrative investment cases for me for both options.

They are slowly losing most of their major smartphone customers...Apple and Samsung. Additionally their AI PCs are nowhere near to moving the needle...yes they are cheap but there is a reason.
