It was just too tempting...

I see it the same way. I immediately bought a lot more shares. However, as the European market for this security is too narrow and therefore volatile, it can only be bought in many smaller tranches.

@d031692 I agree with you, but I have filled up here for now and have enough in my portfolio for the time being with 400 units.

@SAUgut77...I also love lots of zeros behind the denominations ;-)

@d031692 Regardless of that, I'm not a savings plan/fraction fan anyway 😉

I'm thinking about buying dividend shares for 1000 euros which one would you buy if you were to choose between the two right now

BAT or Petroleo b. ?
image de profil
@Erkan1980 it depends, both good dividend payers...

But I don't know which one suits you or your strategy and portfolio, or whether you already have positions or simply want to reinvest 🤷‍♂️

Did not have both

Just invest rather so dividend stocks strategy honestly I have not try to buy slowly dividend stocks Have seen both now beidir and good dividend 😅😅

@Erkan1980 but buying shares purely because of the dividend is not good advice.

@SAUgut77 If it rises I can sell and if it falls I can buy and collect dividends. Until it turns green again

@Erkan1980 Dividend shares or, in the case of a dividend strategy, I don't buy the shares in order to sell them again with a small profit, but to generate passive cash flow....if the shares then also rise, it's the icing on the cake 😉

Just think about what exactly you want, how long your investment horizon is and what suits you personally... maybe just read up a bit more about shares and ETFs and then you'll be fine...

CONCLUSION: Both stocks are good or good dividend payers, but you have to decide for yourself how this fits in with your portfolio and your strategy.

@SAUgut77 Yes, you're right, I'll read a bit more 😅👍 I have 2 etf funds and 2 funds for my pension
Thank you for your answer,✌️

@Erkan1980 all good, I just had a look at your portfolio and from my point of view I would throw out so much and restructure, but you're not in it yourself and I don't quite understand your strategy either, but I wish you good luck anyway ✌️

@SAUgut77 yes i don't know what i bought myself, that's because you don't have a strategy, so it's never too late to learn something i also got to know stocks at 41
image de profil
Where can you learn this strategy? Are there any extra books I actually want to buy stocks that pay good dividends

Which ones would you throw out and restructure?

If that was your postage foil

I only started myself in 06/2023 and am still a little older, but after the first two months of shedding horns and a few losses, I rethought my strategy and got to grips with the matter even more. Since then things have been going quite well and my TTWROR looks almost exactly like yours, except that it's green.

Huhu, do you happen to know if Brazil deducts withholding tax?

That would be a plus point for BAT 🧐
image de profil
@PiHu So some partial dividends are subject to 15% and some are free of withholding tax.

Take a look at petrochina and thank me later 😁

@SunriseRanger Not an option for me.

Petrobras is under a lot of polical influence in Brasil... besides the dividend, it isnt an atractive company for me.
image de profil
@fpena That's true. But that also means security for the ability to survive. A [smart] state doesn't let its own company go bankrupt. Petrobras is the largest company in Brazil in terms of employees and the 5th largest in terms of turnover [the first places are occupied by banks, which is completely normal for money shifters].
