Hello GQ community,

I am very interested in Cisco Systems $CSCO (+0,49 %) the stock seems to be fairly valued to undervalued in the last few weeks.

According to TR, new analyst results are due in the next few days. I am torn between opening a first position, as I cannot estimate whether the stock could drop dramatically after the publication of the analysts' ratings.

What are your assessments and opinions on this?

Many thanks in advance🫶

Hi, I know the Cisco share very well as I have had it in my portfolio for years. I have an IT background myself and know the company. Many of my customers use Cisco systems. I myself am a friend of the buy & hold strategy. It pays regular dividends and the P/E ratio is around 12. Those are my thoughts on it. Whether there will be a surprise.... 🤷‍♂️

@Cashflow_Investor I would be very interested in your reasons for selling, as I am planning to open a position with a small tranche.

@Cashflow_Investor Thank you for your reply. I will probably wait and see what happens or doesn't happen.

Nvidia is taking more and more of the cake from Cisco.

Cisco has not been able to generate any performance for months, the only consolation is the dividend.

@Tenbagger2024 In your article ( https://getqu.in/sWn3pc/ https://getqu.in/sWn3pc/ ) you discussed the Splunk takeover and I think we all realize that the good price is a result of the "crisis situation" at $CSCO.
The question is whether and when the measures will take effect.
The strongest competition currently seems to be $ANET, but the question with fast-growing companies is always whether they can maintain and expand their positions 🤷‍♂️
I think we can all agree that the figures, the market position and market dominance and the business model of $CSCO speak for a quality company in my opinion.
