iShares EM Dividend ETF

$SEDY (+0,02 %) - Has anyone ever taken a closer look at this ETF, or perhaps even held it in their portfolio? I have added it to my watchlist.

When I look at the contents of the ETF under 'largest positions', I can't help but smile, as I've never heard of most of the stocks. But somewhere I find it exciting. From my point of view, this could be an option to invest in a broadly diversified range of exotic securities - I find the dividend yield of currently just under 7.4% attractive.

This is a dumb ETF that can do nothing more than pay dividends. You must be aware of the China risk and the "large" share of $PETR4 as a high-dividend payer. I've had it in my portfolio for a while now. If you don't need such high dividends and possibly more performance and quality, then take a look at the $TDIV

When investing in emerging markets, I would not use a dividend focus without combining it with a proven quality factor. Take a look at the performance of ETFs such as $PEH and $DEMD for comparison. There are a few others, all better than SEDY.

There are better ETFs for emerging markets with better performance and a lower TER.

In the emerging markets in particular, I am more interested in growth companies such as $MELI or $SE - which currently tend not to pay a dividend and are therefore not represented here.

@SteelAnacott Yes, that's not an ETF for you. I wish you every success with the EM growth stocks.

I think the $DEMD is better
