Sell and hope for a better price?

Hi, I haven't really been investing for long and am now wondering whether I shouldn't $ALV (-0,15 %) sell at the moment and wait for a more favorable price. Or should I just hold and wait?

If anyone has any experience with this, I would be delighted to hear your opinion.

I understand the skepticism at Allianz. I have held the position for much longer and simply, so the question does not arise now (if the 10% falls I don't care)

I understand it because the share is actually already doing a bit too well. Nevertheless, hold (and definitely don't sell before the dividend!). If it corrects by 10-15%, it will also find its way up again.
There was a day about a year ago when the share suddenly fell by 8%. Without any major cause. I bought immediately and posted here and many people bought too. The trend since then proves us right

For me, Allianz is a share for eternity, if you are a long-term investor and do everything for your pension, like me, then Allianz is a perfect pension insurance. That means buying every now and then and collecting dividends!
My buy-in price is €169, which makes it difficult for me to buy at the moment. I'll buy a bit after the dividend payment, then the DIV discount is deducted.

@Sachsenschleuder If I were you, I would. 1. never ask the community whether you should buy, sell or hold... no one will give you the right answer. 2. you need a strategy. 3. read up on the stock market and learn to evaluate and analyze technical and fundamental data. 4. the most important advice I can give you -> invest in ETFs first and then start buying stocks bit by bit when you have an understanding of the market! Best regards

The best holding period for this share is forever 🙌

I have $ALV in my portfolio with an average purchase price of €208.80 and will not be selling it. It is one of my last remaining individual stocks, as I have since switched to ETFs. For me, individual stocks were too much of a time waster to always keep an eye on all of them with their individual news and developments. However, Allianz is an absolute no-brainer for me - just like $TSM and $GOOGL

I would hold the position, take the dividend now in May and then just let it run its course. You can always add to it during the year.
But I assume that the share price will rise somewhat.

I am at € 324.00 buy in and have my 10 percent return. I calculate every month how much I have to add to get 5 shares a year. Allianz is my dividend strategy. But it's the only one I have.

Definitely sell them! I'll take them off your hands for 300 and add them to the others that have been in my portfolio since 2008.

At the moment you have a profit on it - you sell - taxes - less starting capital. Ergo you lose 30% of the volume.
If you're hoping for a better (cheaper) price, something has to happen on the stock market or in the company.

Either political influences or fundamental factors. Then the question would be whether you should buy them at all (again).

I added $ALV to my portfolio last year in February (equity approx. €250). I let the share run stubbornly.

I bought it in 2008 for 52 euros and have held it ever since, enjoying the rising dividends every year
