Synopsis and Cadence are both in my portfolio and the performance was almost identical. Synopsis has now gained momentum through the acquisition of a software company for simulation. But I think that something will happen with Cadence in the near future.

Intuit is on my watch list and is very strong in the tax and financial software business. At the moment, however, there is probably a lawsuit for unfair competition. But I think that should blow over and the share will continue to rise.

@Tenbagger2024 I have added Synopsis to my portfolio for the time being, mainly because of the price slide following the announcement of the takeover. Cadence may also follow.
Do you know a good website where I can see the exact sector and the direct competitors of a share? I have been using marketbeat.com so far, but the competitors are not always 100% accurate in terms of activity

I would rather diversify here, i.e. a synopsis plus an asml or kla and a broadcom or quallcom or a nvidia.

This is my approach in all areas and all sectors, otherwise you end up adding a lump of risk to your portfolio, as you can see from a Danaher and thermo fisher
