Spontaneous purchase

You shouldn't really make spontaneous purchases, but I just couldn't resist@Tenbagger2024 I simply couldn't resist this one. Thanks for the introduction. I'll probably buy more of these when I have more money again. 😏

But always keep an eye on it. Because the value is also somewhat speculative. So always keep an eye on it

@Tenbagger2024 So many satellites can't crash at the same time 😅. The company has been around for a while and it's only a small position for now.
I find it totally attractive. I also believe that potential European users are very likely to look for European operators for their future applications given the current global political situation.

@NichtRelevant and unlike the competition, you are profitable here

I can only agree with the dear @raketentoni...better hands off.

@Keineui No problem with that point of view. From a geostrategic perspective, however, I believe that European customers from the military and government sectors will be more or less nailed down to European providers in the future.

The temporary remote shutdown of the targeting software on Ukrainian F16 fighter jets by the USA was a wake-up call for all military and government organizations in Europe. I don't think anyone will rely on a SpaceX or Starlink product in the future. Satellite navigation and positioning data will therefore inevitably have to come from domestic providers in the future, as the trust is simply gone. It's similar with hardware components. When Saab wanted to sell its Gripen to South America, it was immediately vetoed by the USA. So there will certainly be - where possible - an unbundling of systems and suppliers.

What do I mean by that? I think that the company is not necessarily competing with the US companies and can develop a certain pricing power through its existing satellites and expertise in this area.

@NichtRelevant There is nothing online about the temporary remote shutdown of the F16's target systems.
There is mention of a lack of updates to the radar countermeasures. Not the same, and you're basically right. I just didn't want to leave it uncommented

@Keineui All good. I meant I had heard something about the target system or the lack of supply of target data, but it could also have been the countermeasures. Overall, however, the distrust is already there and I think they want to become a bit more independent of the USA.

Ultimately, however, the position is only a very manageable investment for the time being. I'm normally more of an investor in boring dividend stocks and ETFs. The riskier (but often also more exciting) positions are always relatively manageable in size for me.

I bought about 6 months ago and am just under 50% in the green. I feel comfortable with that and am waiting for the dividends. ☺️
