@100erHebel you can now argue about whether this "diversify" also applies to crypto altcoins... in my opinion it doesn't matter how much value a project delivers... much more important is the money supply, what bitcoin is currently doing and how much hype a project is experiencing... you can analyze it however you want ... if someone suddenly hypes garbage, you still look stupid with your rock-solid project. but everyone has to decide for themselves 😊🙌🏻

@100erHebel This is a typical mistake made by many who are new to the space.
Diversifying Bitcoin with altcoins is not the same as buying different stocks to diversify risk.

Altcoins are neither decentralized, nor limited, nor censorship-resistant, nor do they solve any real-world problem (stablecoins excluded).
You can use altcoins for short-term speculation. But if you think that they are all somehow equivalent to BTC and that you can diversify like with shares, you will realize the following:
- BTC goes up, altcoins usually go up too.
- BTC falls, altcoins fall disproportionately sharply

And yet BTC outperforms all altcoins in the long term. With diversification, you bring a much higher risk into your portfolio and still do not achieve a better performance.
