Peloton ($PTON (-0,61 %)) - John Foley, founder of Peloton, announced his decline as CEO yesterday. The resignation is mainly due to pressure from activist investors and poor financial results. As one of his last acts in office, he still terminated 2800 employees. This caused the biggest share price gain so far within one day with +25%.
Meta ($FB (+1,22 %)) - Peter Thiel, the first major investor in Meta (then still Facebook) leaves Meta's works council. The tech investor and billionaire sat on Meta's works council since 2005. The reason for his resignation is that the 54-year-old wants to get more involved in politics in the future and support the agenda of former President Donald Trump and Republican Party candidates in the 2022 midterm elections.

The research department of the US bank Wells Fargo ($WFC (-0,21 %)) has published a report on cryptocurrencies. In it, the analysts elaborate that the number of users will increase sharply in the coming years. "Cryptocurrencies are on the verge of a hyper-adoption phase, much like the Internet in the mid-1990s," the report says. Still, there is no reason to rush into investing in the still-maturing market, it adds.
