Armor values, technological advantage

Hello everyone,

how do you see the technological strengths/weaknesses of European armor values, such as $RHM (+1,76 %) , $LDO (-2,51 %) , $BA. (-0,84 %)
$AIR (-5,2 %) in direct comparison and in comparison to American counterparts like $LMT (-1,96 %) ?

Do we Europeans have any chance at all of keeping up? Where are we perhaps even pioneers? What is missing?

Yes, we have good and excellent technology. RCH 155, SAMP/T NG, IRIS T / IRIS T SLM, Panther, Caesar, Leopard, Puma, Patria 6x6, GTK Boxer, Class 212 CD submarines, etc. etc. The only problem at the moment is that the technology needs to be freed from American parts. The French are already doing this very well. Another problem is the mass. The Americans are so "cheap" because they export a lot. Europe has spent little and the quantities are small - that increases the price. In addition to the fact that the Bundeswehr regularly allows itself to be ripped off and / or still tinkers with it (gold standard Bundeswehr). Mass is in demand.

@Helli Super exciting - I didn't know some of the systems yet. Do you have a recommendation where I can get more information on this? I find it difficult to get suitable comparisons and lists via Google. But maybe I'm looking in the wrong place
