AWS server error

Edit at 8 am German time:

AWS has fixed the problems and the servers are running normally again.

RevenueCat has also fixed the resulting errors and is running stable again.

Intercom also reports that the systems are running again.

We will keep an eye on the matter and update this post if there is more information.

Edit at 9 pm German time:

AWS has rolled out some changes and reports improved server performance.

We have not noticed any major changes so far and both RevenueCat and Intercom continue to show issues due to AWS server instability.

Edit at 18:00 German time:

AWS has allegedly found the exact cause and is working on a solution.

In the meantime, the provider that we use in the background to manage memberships and activate features has also reported a fault. They are also working on a solution.

Edit at 16:30 German time:

The first systems are recovering, but there is still no all-clear from AWS and they are working on the problems.

Original post:

Hello everyone, some of you have already noticed.

As Amazon is currently $AMZN (+1,56 %) is currently having major server problems with AWS, our systems are also partially affected.

At the moment we only have limited access to support requests via Intercom as well as our support chat and support chatbot.

The help center
https://help.getquin.com/ is currently only available to a limited extent, as this is also operated by Intercom.

https://www.intercomstatus.com/us-hosting

We are in contact with Intercom and are of course keeping an eye on the information from AWS itself.

https://health.aws.amazon.com/health/status

We are still working on processing the incoming requests, but this may be delayed due to the existing server problems, so we ask for your patience.

No request will be lost, so you can still contact us via help@getquin.com to contact us! (The feed will still not become a support channel. 😉)

We are still trying to determine the extent to which third-party providers for connections or other services are affected.

Thank you for your understanding.

Asana and Canva were therefore not available all morning. The intern at AWS must have pulled the wrong plug :D

Then just switch your infrastructure to $ICP, then it wouldn't be so embarrassing 😏
image de profil
@PHASMA Our own infrastructure is not affected, but the systems of third-party providers with whom we work.

@PHASMA $ICP there is still crazy... luckily still sold at 20-25€
Will the memberships (Premium) not be displayed correctly as an effect? 🤔
image de profil
@useraf0f43d9954f4be5 This can happen because the provider for managing the release of paid functions and memberships is also affected.

@Kundenservice i can t see my membership :(
image de profil
@Fcomi Then you have to wait, until the issues from AWS and the other subsystem providers are fixed.

Why is my PAID premium not working?
image de profil
@capital_sherpa_2921 It might be, that you are affected from a parallel outage of a service provider, which is unlocking paid features.

Should have used Oracle OCI as a provider

Does this also affect new subscriptions via google playstore? My payment there is always canceled.
image de profil
@Olli68 We have tested purchases via Apple and Stripe (web) and they continue to work normally.
Only the activation of the functions may be faulty afterwards due to the malfunction at RevenueCat.

The Google Playstore will probably not use AWS for its cloud, but will rely on its own infrastructure.
For this reason, it is unlikely that this will cause problems. However, due to a lack of test devices, we were unable to test this under live conditions. This also continues to work on the test server.
I have a question. I have some crypto investments. It is my first time use this getquin app. And know I want sell how what I have to do. I sold part of them and till in now I don’t get the money ;) can help somebody

@equity_enthusiast_1629 We are not offering any kind of trading or payout with getquin.
We offer a tracking software. Anything you do in getquin is just virtual. We are not holding any real assets.

I know your not offering any trading or payment. But maybe you offer deposit or sell or send from getquin to another wallet :) I want send from getquin
image de profil
@equity_enthusiast_1629 Getquin is only a platform for tracking your investments, you can't buy, sell, store, transfer, send or receive anything here. The platform is only to get a better overview on your investments and to connect with other investors.

Must be the Russians
That's how it is when you rely on a single provider based in the USA.
Hard to see which companies were completely down. Brave new world.

@Unbekannt1983 A mistake like this can happen with any cloud provider, if you're honest.
IONOS, Hetzner, Google Cloud and others have also had major outages.

Building up redundancies is always nice, but as long as they are not needed, they simply cost money, so they are only extremely small.

The daily trend values seem to have derailed somewhat...
Today my portfolio looks better again ... must have been due to AWS yesterday :D
