Krystal Biotech, Inc.: 2nd quarter profit rises but misses estimates

$KRYS (-1,46 %)

Hello my dears,

How crazy the stock market can be.

Here you present top figures but don't reach the estimates. And the share is punished like a Novo Nordisk.

I remain invested, perhaps even a good time to buy more.

What do you think?

@Memo0606

Krystal Biotech, Inc ( KRYS ) reported second quarter earnings that were up from the same period last year, but missed Wall Street estimates.

The company's profit totaled $38.33 million, or $1.29 per share. In the previous year, the profit amounted to 15.57 million US dollars or 0.53 US dollars per share.

On average, analysts had expected earnings of USD 1.44 per share. The analysts' estimates generally do not include any special effects.

The company's turnover rose by 36.7% to USD 96.04 million in this period compared to USD 70.28 million in the previous year.

The profits of Krystal Biotech, Inc. at a glance (GAAP):

Hello my dear,
I don't quite understand the investors here.
The share is really cheap for the growth rates. And no Palantir, so I could understand such a reaction.

Retest the zone and make a double bottom in the HTF

are you buying more? i'm about to

@Memo0606
I do not yet see a bottom in the daily price. That means it could perhaps go down even further.
It's difficult to say how analysts will interpret the figures. There are still approvals pending in Europe and Japan. Nothing should go wrong there. Then the share will also rise again.
Biotechnology is always a risk

The price could now turn.

No investments in biotech start-ups from mir🙅🏼‍♂️ Find this too unpredictable. But a huge new trend is emerging in pharmaceuticals and $4901 is positioning itself as a leading player.....
image de profil
@PikaPika0105
Are they in research?
image de profil
@Tenbagger2024 Keyword Bio-CDMO, they are leading the way. The pharmaceutical industry is currently undergoing a transformation, just like the chip industry did back then. Research/design and production are being separated. Production is being outsourced to the bio-CDMOs. In other words, what TSMC, Samsung, Intel and Rapidus do, but for drugs and biopharmaceuticals. At the moment there are more or less four companies that are active in this area: Lonza $LONN, Fujifilm $4901, Samsung Biologics $207940 and WuXi Biologics. The market is growing very strongly and many large pharmaceutical companies are very interested; it would also be a game changer for start-ups (the risk of bankruptcy due to high costs and entry barriers would be significantly reduced). Lonza is still the market leader, but sluggish. Fujifilm's Bio-CDMO division is growing very dynamically, is particularly innovative and is well on the way to becoming the market leader. Fujifilm wants to become the TSMC of the pharmaceutical industry. Fujifilm and Samsung Biologics are particularly promising, but I like Fujifilm even better (it also has a strong semiconductor materials division). The development of these two industries is very similar. The exact details would go much further now, maybe I'll do a post on that sometime, but the whole thing is something to keep an eye on.

Sounds interesting, I'll take a look at the multiples
image de profil
@Tenbagger2024 The whole thing can probably only really take off in the 2030s. In my opinion, Fujifilm's printer division will also have to go. They should focus on health tech, bio-CDMO, semiconductor materials and a few more cameras out of nostalgia. In any case, the Group is in a state of upheaval. The Bio-CDMO division is set to double by 2030 and that's when it really starts, I think. In any case, a very solid investment with great future opportunities and very low risk. Of course, it won't be a tenbagger in the medium term, the market would have to develop much more dramatically for that, but who knows, maybe in the 2040s.

Thank you my dear,
I will keep an eye on it

What fundamental key figures and/or information do you use to decide on a company in the biotechnology/pharma sector? I find it very difficult to decide without insider knowledge, as there are many interesting companies with good fundamental figures in the sector ✌🏻

- $PTCT
- $CPRX
- $BONEX
- $BIOA B
- $AUPH
- $CVAC
- $BSLN
- $STOK

@Anderle
It is important to me that you are profitable.
Have new drugs in the pipeline . Or that approvals are pending.
That the EbiT margin increases.
That's why I still have
$CORT and $CAMX in my portfolio.
In addition, $GILD is a growth dividend stock. Gilead is the only pharmaceutical supplier to offer an injection to prevent HIV.
