...maybe I'll slowly move my Norway share to DKB in the future and simply have myself exempt from withholding tax there for ~€12 for 3 years 🤷🏻‍♂️😉

@SAUgut777 - Do you pay this once for a country or per company? 🤔

@Ochse is country-specific, i.e. per country.

Last I checked, it was €11.95 for Norway, for example. It may have become more expensive in the meantime and not all countries are offered, but at a certain point it's worth it....

@SAUgut777 is only a partial exemption for the 10% that you can claim back from Norway.

@Dividendenopi only knew this from a former GQ user and according to him it was only considered a partial exemption...wanted to look into it in the near future.

Have you asked DKB about it?

@SAUgut777 I had threatened to move a corresponding part of my deposit there. I think I asked three times and never got an answer 🤨. Still nothing to be found on the home page. In relevant forums, only the partial exemption has actually been repeatedly confirmed. And if you look at the relevant pages of the Federal Ministry of Finance, everything looks like 10% plus 15% via Anlage KAP. The shielding deduction procedure is repeatedly brought into play, but in my opinion it is similar to France and fails in its implementation due to the respective broker and the data protection to which they refer. Regardless of whether it's 2 or 5 or 20 euros, you've already applied for the 10 percent from Norway and the KAP annex for the rest is a formality. However, it will be difficult to explain it to the tax office the first time, because as far as I know, no broker lists the withholding tax in any way. I really had to go there once with the printouts of the dividend statements and the refund notice from Norway and show them the refund amount claimed. After that it works

@SAUgut777 Can I request a refund of Norwegian withholding tax from you?
KI Answer
No, you cannot request a refund of Norwegian withholding tax from DKB. For the refund or reduction of foreign withholding tax, such as Norwegian withholding tax, you must contact the responsible Norwegian authorities directly or commission a tax advisory service. DKB does not offer this service.

Reply from DKB Ki.....
