@Smudeo
For me, this is a buy and hold.
I also have a buy-in of 52 euros... but I've had it for several years....
They want to become the largest energy and electricity producer in Europe and are investing a lot in this.
The lucrative dividend and the increases alone make the share very attractive 🤷🏻‍♂️

@AE23 High investments, away from the core business, etc. that initially costs returns

@Smudeo I bought Total not because of the yield, but because of the dividend, its increases and its secure business model.

@AE23 Transformation 2022 cost 40% dividend cut. Neither the share price nor the dividend has recovered from this

@Smudeo I honestly don't know what you're talking about. The dividend was increased in 2022 and there was even a special dividend due to good profits 🤨🧐
I think you're holding the wrong share 😂
Not even in Corona times was there a dividend cut.
It just wasn't increased then...
In stark contrast to Shell....

@AE23 ah ok sorry the dividend after that was not falling then? It was due to the special distribution. Well then, you did everything right

@Smudeo no.
Since the suspension of an increase in 2020 due to corona, there have only been increases.
In 2022, oil companies made massive excess profits due to the war in Ukraine.
And to accommodate an excess profits tax in France, there was a massive special dividend in 2022.
1 euro per share, if I remember correctly. Logically, this no longer existed in 2023.
This may perhaps look like a cut for some portals ...
