@Horstiiii No, I don't think so. There's a lot going on.

@Horstiiii That's what the AI says: - The Lula government pushed through price cuts for fuel, which fueled concerns that Petrobras would have to sacrifice profits in the 2026 election year.
- Rumors spread that the high special dividends would be canceled or drastically reduced in order to finance government investment projects.
- Analyst downgrade: Major banks (such as UBS) downgraded the share massively at the same time, triggering automated sell orders.
The countermovement (current)
Shortly after the low point, the share price recovered just as abruptly. The reasons for this:
- Informal all-clear: reports from Brazil indicate that the firmly promised dividends for February and March (approx. BRL 0.47) are safe and will not be touched.
- Short squeeze: Speculators who had bet on the crash had to close out their positions by buying, which pushed the price up.
- Political sense of proportion: Initial details of the new strategic plan show that the reorientation towards green energy is less radical than the market had feared this morning.
3. current status & conclusion
- Fundamental: Operationally, Petrobras remains strong thanks to high reserves and cash flows. The slump was primarily psychologically and politically driven.
- Dividend: The payment on February 20, 2026 remains in place as things stand.
- Outlook: The situation remains volatile. The market is now eagerly awaiting the opening of the US stock markets (Wall Street) at 15:30 to see whether major international investors confirm the recovery.
To summarize: It was a classic "flash crash" caused by political panic, which is currently being corrected by bargain hunters and reassuring news from management.

@Asgard19 Yes, I know that, but apparently it's not just about the special dividend?

I was about to reload, but wanted to find out what it was all about first. The price recovered far too quickly...
