CEZ acquires stake in Rolls-Royce SMR to introduce small nuclear power plants

Czech power producer CEZ will take a minority stake in Rolls-Royce SMR to participate in the rollout of small nuclear reactor technology in the UK, the Czech Republic and beyond, the companies announced on Tuesday.CEZ will take a stake of around 20% in Rolls-Royce SMR, subject to regulatory approvals, and plans to install up to 3 gigawatts of power in the company's small nuclear power plants, the companies said in a statement.
