Allegations: serious side effects such as gastroparesis (stomach paralysis), intestinal obstruction and inflammation, especially when used off-label for weight loss.
The first "bellwether" pilot trials are due to start at the beginning of 2026. Experts anticipate a potential total liability of over USD 2 billion for manufacturer Novo Nordisk.
