Intellego Technologies shorted

$INT (-22,66 %) is probably haunted by short sellers. Short interest jumped from 0.5% to over 7% according to Marketscreener.... Reasons are probably suboptimal capital management from what I could find out. However, the financial information published before earnings is actually quite solid.

Could be a good follow-on opportunity.

Tradegate closes at 8pm and I still have to cook, I'll have a look on Monday. I'd also have to invest everything in the trading portfolio and use up my 5% to gamble 🤔🤷‍♂️.

They apparently want to make SEK 100m in share buybacks. Maybe that was the trigger, but the crash is completely exaggerated.

@PikaPika0105 Share buybacks generally trigger a positive reaction from the market.

@HoldTheMike You can't say that. In most cases it is, but with small caps the situation is somewhat different. Especially when it comes to small companies in the growth phase, share buybacks are often seen as a waste of important capital. With large and stable profitable companies, on the other hand, it always triggers a positive reaction, as you said.

It's completely unclear to me where this fantasy comes from. Ok, I've only skimmed through it, but the figures don't look convincing at first glance and the product - ink that changes color under UV light - phew, I don't see the great application there.

Reminds me more of P&D penny stocks of the "syringe with retractable needle" variety (if that means anything to anyone else) ...

I thought so too at first, but the product is actually mission-critical in quality assurance for industrial bonding applications and medical disinfection. Intellego holds the patent, production is not expensive and the margin is very high and indispensable in QA - at least until there is no player with a better product. I think there would be a moat and once the customers are locked in...

@doyoueventradebro How can that be mission-critical? Medical disinfection with UV light has been around before. But - as I said: I haven't read any further into it, as there are too many question marks even at first glance.

Of course, it's not proper research, but I only invest in things that I can understand quickly.

I'm just very simple-minded ... :-)
I am still waiting, I think we will end up at 6-7€.

@j0keR61 How do you come up with €6-7?

@HoldTheMike There's always someone around the corner who says that € xy will still be paid. It's usually justification for waiting, I think
