AIRO Group Holdings ("AIRO") announced on December 16, 2020 the successful completion of the first RQ-35 Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) drones produced fully operational at its U.S. manufacturing facility in Phoenix, Arizona. This is the first RQ-35 system manufactured in the U.S. and a significant step forward in the company's Made-in-America expansion strategy.

First RQ-35 ISR drones produced in the U.S. to launch in December 2025

The systems, built to the same specifications as those produced at AIRO's facility in Denmark, completed Phase 1 of the U.S. manufacturing and validation program. This phase included system assembly, including integration of all major components and full system build. The aircraft then underwent an extensive flight test campaign that concluded with successful final flights on December 11.

The RQ-35 has earned a worldwide reputation as a leading force multiplying ISR and targeting drone, optimized for use in GPS denied, high interference and EW rich environments. The system delivers persistent intelligence with minimal operator burden and is designed to operate reliably from extreme cold to extreme heat. With resilient communications, optimized payloads and long endurance, RQ-35 aircraft have proven to be reliable force multipliers in a variety of mission environments.

This milestone in U.S. production also advances the RQ-35 in the War Department's Blue UAS certification process and enables more efficient procurement and deployment pathways. It further strengthens AIRO's growing drone portfolio - including the RQ-35, our strategic Nord Drone joint venture and our continued progress on the Bullet JV - as our business teams actively pursue opportunities with U.S. and allied government customers.

@Tenbagger2024 never heard of it đŸ˜…đŸ€·đŸŒâ€â™‚ïž IPO wasn't that long ago, it looks like. Not uninteresting in principle, but goes against my risk-off approach for the second half of the year. And I'm already pretty overexposed to $ONDS 😂
