Embraer's Q1 profit beats estimates, sales increase year-on-year

HIGHLIGHTS


Forecast for 2025 confirmed: Deliveries of 77 to 85 aircraft in commercial air transportation and 145 to 155 aircraft in executive air transportation . The company's total revenue is between USD 7.0 and 7.5 billion, the adjusted EBIT margin between +7.5% and +8.3% and the adjusted free cash flow for the full year is at least USD 200 million. The company emphasizes that the results of the first quarter were not affected by US tariffs.




Sales amounted to USD 1,103 million in the first quarter of 2025 - the best first quarter since 2016 - and were thus 23% higher than in the previous year. Particularly noteworthy is the 72% year-on-year sales growth in the defense and security sector.




Adjusted EBIT reached USD 62.0 million with a margin of +5.6% in Q1 2025 (+0.8% in Q1 2024).




Adjusted free cash flow excluding Eve amounted to USD (385.8) million in the quarter in preparation for a higher number of aircraft deliveries in the coming quarters.




The company approved the payment of a dividend of R$51.4 million (R$0.07 per share) for 2024.




Embraer issued USD 650 million of 10-year bonds in Q1 2025 at an interest rate of 158 basis points above the US Treasury bond rate and purchased USD 522 million of bonds for 2027 (fully repaid) and USD 150 million of bonds for 2028.




The company extended its debt maturity to 6.3 years (3.8 years in Q4) following the latest liability resolution move and ended the quarter with a net debt to EBITDA ratio of 0.5, down from 1.8 in the same period last year.




Embraer delivered 30 jets in Q1 2025, including 7 commercial aircraft (3 E2 and 4 E1) and 23 business jets (14 light and 9 medium), an increase of 20% compared to the 25 aircraft delivered in the previous year.
