Milei is doing a lot of things right in Argentina and is showing the world that it also works with less state intervention. The fact that rents have fallen since the abolition of the rent cap alone shows that the state's constant intervention in the market has caused most of the problems in the first place.

@stefan_21 that this makes economic policy work - but not (yet) social policy. After all, almost half of the population was living below the poverty line in 2024. The fact that rents are falling may also be due to the fact that many people have become impoverished as a result of the reforms. State intervention in the market is necessary in some places, but not in others - you have to look at it depending on the context.

I prefer a balance of social market economy.
