Kraken Robotics

I've been working more intensively with Kraken Robotics for a few days now $PNG (-5 %)

The company builds underwater drones and sonar systems and recently completed a major takeover.

My plan was actually to buy in, but to be honest I didn't dare to do so at around EUR 4 because I didn't want to be caught in a falling knife. Do you still see the share price as a good entry point?

The next big catalyst will be next week's earnings, would you invest in Kraken again before then?

Have any of you actually bought more or is this not an issue for you at the moment? I'm still wavering a bit and would be curious to hear your assessment 🙏

I like Kraken. And I still see anything below €5 as a very attractive entry point. Even though I'm not invested myself and won't be investing at the moment. I'm more focused on other companies in maritime robotics, navigation, sonar etc.. But Kraken is still a top pick from my point of view.👌🏻

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin what then? AI and rare earth?

@Tobiwankenobi500 I meant in the maritime robotics, navigation and sonar sector.😅😉

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin but what about the rating, which is already very ambitious?

@investment_sage_bpszl It is, of course. However, growth is still corresponding at the moment, so the valuation is largely justified. But of course $PNG is not entirely cheap. Otherwise, you could consider investing in $KOG and/or $EXA. The CRV is probably best for $EXA at the moment.😉

$PNG is only just getting going. Plenty of room for improvement.

I still see potential for Kraken. The importance of ocean exploration will increase. Nevertheless, I will be shifting part of my Kraken position to $EXA. The valuation here is somewhat more favorable and earnings growth is higher.

A tenbagger candidate at the current level 🚀 Have you read my analyses of Kraken?

@Klein-Anleger I read that, that's how I came up with it. Thanks again for the analysis, by the way. What makes me a little hesitant is this:

Forward valuation: with a market capitalization of c. CAD 2.35bn (\approx USD 1.72bn) and an expected 2026 EBITDA of USD 45m (mean), the stock is trading at a forward EV/EBITDA of c. 35-38x.
Verdict: Kraken is valued like a hyperactive tech stock, not a classic defense stock (where P/E multiples of 18-22 are the norm). The 65%+ growth justifies a lot, but the stock is absolutely unforgiving at the current price.

Support for deep sea mining, military underwater drones, repair robots for energy systems.... The potential is far from exhausted.

@PikaPika0105 and what do you think about the rating?

@investment_sage_bpszl It may be that the share has become expensive in the short term, which makes it difficult to get in. However, I am looking at the market in the long term (development, relevance) and see some mathematical potential in Kraken.

I buy more on every weaker day.

@Multibagger Is that a certain value in % for you? I'm currently using a similar strategy.

Savings plan runs weekly. I think the company and the division are great

Reacted very cleanly to the 200-day line recently, so it was easy to collect.
